Our Story

We met at a Purdue University event for prospective graduate students (haha, dorks!). We had split into groups for bowling. I think I bowled a 40 that night. Anyway, this guy in boots introduced himself and we got to talking (I found out later it was because he thought I looked coordinated, despite my proclivity for hitting the gutter). Well, we had breakfast together the next morning - our acquaintances from the night prior who were supposed to join us had all slept in - and we swapped numbers. We traded occasional texts until we both decided on a university for grad school. You guessed it; we both picked Purdue!

The rest is pretty simple. We dated for a while. I moved in with Kalen until I graduated in 2017, after which I moved back to New Mexico (wait, where?). We spent two years long-distance, with visits here and there, until Kalen graduated in 2019 and - this time - he moved in with me! Since then we've picked up some new hobbies, bought a home, added a fur-baby to our family, and have so far survived a pandemic... but we sure are looking forward to many more adventures to come!
